Original artwork description:

Painted on-site on Minnehaha Parkway in Minneapolis. Features a group of spring crabapple trees in full blossom in shades of red, magenta, bright pink, and light pink. A few touches of lavender indicate the lilac bushes behind the trees which are beginning to open. Light sparkles off the cascade of blossoms due to their variegated colors and thick texture created with palette knife. In contrast, the running, watery effects in the sky were created with casein paint and glazed over with oil. The canvas is stretched on 1.5" stretcher bars with painted sides in a "gallery wrap" style, ready to hang. A fabulously optimistic, cheerful scene with both light and rich colors.
