Original artwork description:

This painting came about as I mournfully stared at a mass of teal and prussian blue sitting on my palette. I had obviously overestimated how much paint I needed for the previous painting. However the champion of 'waste not want not' that I am, I racked my brains for a purpose to give this, frankly too expensive to throw away, paint.

A long time lover of skulls and wild dogs, the coyote struck me as an excellent choice as he too was famous for making the most of the surplus that others leave behind.

So here it is, a coyote skull rendered lovingly in blue hues.

Materials used:

Acrylic and oil on panel
