In this stylized painting the cowgirl and her guitar are painted in a representational manner, while the background is geometric and abstract. She wears a deep yellow blouse, with a multi-hued background of pale green, blue and pale yellow. This painting is part of my abstract realism series. It was previously displayed at the Americana Exhibit at Studio 659 in Indiana. The edges of the canvas are painted black, so that the painting can be hung without a frame.
