Artwork description:

Beautiful limited edition plaster cast plaque featuring a raised impression, made using a real piece of Cow Parsley, mounted on a dark stained Ash wood backing - 14 x 28 x 1.5cm. Cow parsley is one of my favourite plants & it grows everywhere in the summer. I collected this piece near my workshop in Newcastle. There are only afew of the edition remaining.

This would make an ideal gift for anyone who loves nature, gardening, or simply the sculptural beauty of plants & flowers.

Each piece is signed & numbered on the back. This plaster cast plaque is mounted on a piece of Oak, which provides a striking contrast, there is a key hole bracket on the back for hanging securely on a wall. Or it can simply be displayed on a shelf.

The plants and flowers are pressed into clay, removed and plaster poured over to create the cast. The process picks up an incredible amount of detail to create a beautiful raised impression. The life of flowers and plants can be very short lived, the process of casting them is like capturing a moment in time, preserving them to be enjoyed long after they have faded away. The process of casting gives them a beautiful sculptural quality and transforms the items into a work of art.

I can cast your own plants & flowers for a special one off piece, please contact me for details.

The plaques are carefully wrapped in several layers of bubble wrap & shipped in a large sturdy cardboard box with Eco polystyrene chips. They will be sent via tracked delivery with a courier & will need to be signed for.

If you have any enquiries please don't hesitate to contact me.
