If you have never been, Hydra is a glorious island where everything happens on foot. It is in the Saronic Gulf, Greece.

This is a scene I have painted time and time again.... such wonderful dappled light, leading you up the path to an inviting door!

Watercolour is one of my favourite mediums as you can achieve beautiful layers of translucent colour, and create some wonderful impressionisitic works.

I painted this following a family tour around Europe by campervan
