Original artwork description:

This is a plein-air study of a view from Cothelstone Hill, just up from Cothelstone Manor. The painting was begun in the landscape and completed back in the studio with palette knives.

The painting explores the wonderful landscape around Taunton and the countryside that can take you on a magical journey that as you mave further up Cothelstone Hill, you begin to see the amazing panoramic views of Somerset and across the Bristol Channel and towards Wales and the Brecon Beacons in the far distance on a clear day.
