Original artwork description:

'Corrosion' is one of an experimental group of paintings I did involving glueing loose canvas on to a stretched canvas in patterns that sprang in to my mind at that moment. From a distance these paintings deceive the eye as one does not quite know if one is looking at a 2d or 3d image. I enjoyed this process of playing with the surface of the canvas and it reinvigorated my 2d painting afterwards. I called this painting 'Corrosion' because I used some metallic paint to highlight certain areas which made it look somewhat rusty. If you have any questions for me about this painting please click the 'Contact Jacqueline Talbot' button.

Materials used:

Acrylic paint on 2cm deep wrapped canvas
