Original artwork description:

I have always loved this beautiful view as a small child holidaying on Arran. Driving along here to Brodick always meant we had completed an adventure somewhere on the hills or by a beach, and were going to see relatives to talk all about it. I still get this feeling now as an adult, and always have to stop and look.
This August, the flowers were in bloom and I snapped a few shots to work on back in my studio in the Alps. It took several weeks to build up the various layers of the rich and busy foliage in the foreground, which is just a part of the image to me as the variety of clouds, the sweeping bay and the distant view of Holy Island.
The painting is sold framed and ready to hang.
