"Correspondences Opus VIII" is a square painting in warm tones, mainly mauve, red and purple. It's an abstract, mountainous, wild landscape that evokes the eruption of a volcano, the power and strength of nature. The composition is simple, the image cut diagonally, with a dark mineral mass on one side that feels like it contains energy ready to burst forth, and on the other, the explosion of this force in a clear but vaporous sky.
It was painted in June 2023 on linen canvas using high-quality Leroux colors.
Signed lower right and dated and signed on the back.
