Original Oil Painting on stretched canvas
This textured impasto oil painting is on stretched, gallery-wrapped primed and gessoed canvas. The wooden stretcher is a box frame 1 inch deep. After a long period of drying the painting is varnished with a matte varnish to protect the surface and make the colours more vibrant. The painting could be framed or hung directly as it is. Hanging fixtures will be supplied with the painting.
This series of paintings comes from sketches in travel journals of a climbing trip to Correns in France.
All of my paintings are original and handmade by me.
