This painting explores the layering of a journey taken along the coastline of West Somerset and Cornwall. The painting layers various views seen during a walking trip along the coastline running from Minehead to Kilve and a couple places visited in Cornwall in 2019 to 2020.

The image explores colour and form to produce an image that brings together the experience of walking around an area, taking in the ambience of the places visited and investigates how we build an image of the places we have visited, remembering those parts of a journey that come to mind, as we remember the day.
