When I was a child, climbing across the rocks and cliffs in my native Cornwall, we called this plant 'sea pinks'. I like the name 'thrift' as it suggests qualities I associate with Cornwall. Cornish coastal landscape with thrift in the foreground and a strong off shore breeze blowing the sea and wildflowers. Lots of texture as I painted this largely with my knife.
Acrylic on canvas, varnished, sides painted white, strung on the back and ready to hang.
25cm x 25cm x 1.5cm.
Signed on the back and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity. Please let me know if you'd like it signed on the front (or the side).
