Original artwork description:

A bright and colorful abstract watercolor called "Summer Sea". This painting is an abstraction about the colors and views I had walking the Coastal Path in Cornwall. You find lots of colors in Cornwall, sunset, clouds, spray, mist, waves, heather.... it is a mixture of phantastic light and atmosphere.

Also, this painting is influenced by visiting a Patrick Heron exhibition in the Tate Gallery, St. Ives. There I learned a lot about the importance of corners and edges and right now I am giving more attention to these aspects of an abstract painting and here you can find lots of interesting details, forms and edges.

18x17 cm on Arches paper 300g, W&N Watercolors and little gouache used. The painting comes unframed but with 23x23cm mat, ready to be put in any standard IKEA frame. The part of the painting seen in the mat is 12x12cm.
