This coastal site was painted while staying and working in an artists residence in Cornwall in 2012. Initially painted en plein air, then completed in studio. This old desolate copper mine was on the Cornish penninsular where the remains of many abandoned, mainly tin mines exist. The old stone building could have been from "Poldark" times.
