This is my favorite and most patriotic flower of all - the cornflower is the national symbol of my country Estonia. I absolutely love it's color - between indigo blue and purple and the combination with sunny warm orange color of Calendula.
I recieved the bouquet and decided to make it's beauty last much longer than in nature.
Pencil drawing with ink pen contours. Turns out it's not very easy to get the colour of the cornflower right, so it took me several attempts to mix purple and blue and a lot of looking through my color pencil stashes, until I discovered Lyra does exact one under the name Delft Blue.
