Artwork description:

A close-up section of the amazingly eroded sandstone rocks with their delicate textures created by sediments caught up in flash floods which then scour and sculpt the soft rocks into abstract shapes and patterns. This was taken as part of a series of images from the Lower Antelope Canyon, the highlight of a road trip to Arizona and Utah and the strange and fascinating rock formations of the Colorado Plateau.

Afternoon sunlight filtering down through the slot canyon reflects off the walls creating warm tones enhances the experience, creating different colours and mood as each minute passes. In this image, its easy to see the reason behind its 'Corkscrew Canyon' nick-name with all the various contorted shapes of the eroded rocks.

Printed by Kernow Fine Art in Cornwall, each print comes with a certificate of authenticity, signed and numbered on the front in pencil together with the image title. Prints will be sent in a tube for safe and easy shipping via a tracked service from La Poste.
