Original artwork description:

This Acrylic Paint on High Quality 300 gsm Paper painting was done “en plein air” in the very beautiful location of the Maldives. It is a painting of the Ocean and the Coral Gardens that can be snorkeled in during high tide. I really enjoyed how the same view would completely change depending on the weather and time of day. This picture was painted during the late afternoon on a very hot and sunny day as an approaching storm was bringing wind and creating waves. The sun was still shining overhead creating the great contrast of colours in the water. I built up the detail of this painting by overlaying and adding thin layers of transparent paint on top of each other and thicker impasto in some areas. As I painted it I intentionally left a rough border of the original paper around the image to produce a rough border or frame to the finished piece. I have included different photos of the cropped and whole picture including the border to show the different framing options that can be selected. You can add a mount and frame to it according to your own preference.
A note to International Buyers:
Shipping rates have increased in price all around the world due to Covid and other complications. Due to this I have had to increase the the cost of shipping my artworks in line with the Delivery Companies. I will always strive to find the cheapest possible option for the customer (usually my local POST OFFICE EMS Recorded Delivery, but unfortunately they don’t deliver worldwide at the moment) If the amount of shipping charged at purchase is less than the shipping company charges then I will refund the difference to the customer. This refund will be done after the picture has arrived safely and has been accepted.
Any import duties, taxes and charges that may be payable are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges, if applicable, will be the responsibility of the buyer. Please message me to check if this might affect your purchase.
