Coque de noix is a semi-figurative conceptual abstract painting in shades of green, bronze, brown, black and white.

Very luminous and contrasted, this painting evokes at the same time the collective intelligence such as one finds it in nature with the movements of the schools of fish or the flight in formation of the birds, and a large boat with the multiple sails inflated by the wind and left to itself, with its hull which resembles a giant hull of nut, symbol of fragility and adventure;
When I painted Coque de noix, I was plunged into an ancient time when each journey with a sailing boat was an adventure as perilous as it was filled with the hope of discovering a part of the planet and new treasures. The milky white of the sails, like souls, symbolizes the hope of discovery, it is in contrast with the tortured brown background which represents the mystery...
