This is a really interesting piece.

This old photo was mounted on heavy mat board then painted over with acrylics. Apparently they made the news in Hinton, WV in the early part of last century due to the neighbor's tongues wagging about a fire that nearly killed his wife and did kill his two children, and her one son.

Around the edges I put sliced lines from an old book about how to be a prostitute (I am not kidding) from the 1920s.

The entire piece is sealed under several layers of clear varnish.
