This artwork is created using soft pastels on sander paper. It is a plein-air study made in a park near my home, inspired by an unusual subject and the play of contrasts.

At the center of the composition are vivid boats set against the deep, dark vegetation. Typically, we imagine boats already in the water, but here I aimed to capture a rare moment — when something meant to float is still on land. This transitional moment, just before the boats are launched, struck me as particularly interesting and expressive.
The artwork reflects a desire to find the extraordinary in the ordinary, to capture fleeting moments that often go unnoticed.



-Painted with quality professional soft pastels. Soft pastel is a pure pigment, it remains bright and does not foam color over time.
