Normally you have a favourite place nearby. 10 minutes’ walk and you are in your little world. This football field kept me sane during lockdown and opened my eyes to everyday beauty in the simple things around me, the sun, sky, grass, trees etc. When I was amazed by the light one evening, I couldn't find it next day but I discovered a new one, completely different one.

One rainy day I took a walk as usual to get out of the same house. It was wet and miserable outside but I kept walking, the sky was changing constantly, clouds were rushing somewhere and the sun was hidden. Suddenly everything changed: in the south the low sky got extremely dark, in the north a tiny gap appeared in the clouds and the field started to glow! I couldn't move, it was more than highlight of the day! It was a real hope you can touch and be part of it!

In half an hour at home I have painted the background with acrylic with the bright glowing light, used oil pastels and sgraffito technique to show the extremely fast pace of changes in the sky and light on the field. I have captured the magic!
