Original artwork description:

Painted during the Coronavirus confinement where everything feels contracted, small and concentrated. As with all my paintings the subject is Life, with this collection the essence of the painting is heightened colour and the detail left abstract. A play on the light and colour of a beautiful sunny day in the form of a stag beetle.
