About my work:
For these conspirators, I wanted a group of men looking moody as if they have something to hide, I wanted a swashbuckler feel to it, something has grabbed their attention and making them anxious so you get those staring menacing eyes.
When I sit at my easel with a blank canvas, I’m in my world I’m in control, I know what I’m going to paint. I want my paintings to have character to tell a story but without words as if using mime, to be dramatic, emotional, sometimes theatrical but always with feelings and always special.
My work is displayed in over 33 countries, including some iconic places like Berkeley Square in London’s Mayfair, 5th Ave New York, Malibu beach and Hollywood in California.
Blanc a New York-based magazine wrote an article about me in the November issue; it went on to say Ta has a special interest in character development and portraying “a little of the night…coming from my dreams and imagination.” This combined with her passion for colour psychology draws the viewer in and leaves them there, whether Ta is using oil on canvas, charcoal and pastels, watercolours, acrylic on wood or pencil.
To say that Ta is a versatile artist is an understatement—creating modern, contemporary, and folk art that includes portraiture and figure drawing in its vast subject matter and explores periods of Impressionism, Expressionism, and Cubism with influences from Botticelli to Lowry and Magritte.
Ta Thimkaeo: full-time independent Thai artist, creating large and small unique colourful
works.
COMMISSIONS: I would be delighted to create you a unique work, whatever size you need or colour palette.
