Here is my part of the Bayeux’s Tapestry I had to interpret. It has been exhibited in the Haras de St Lô in 2017 during 6 months with 53 other artists.
At first it was a conquest in the war way, but I wanted to change it in a more positive way. A positive philosophy of life… the Conquest of the Happiness were obvious! I found lot of symbols in the Buddhism of course (the animals, flowers, colors, monks…) and the riders reminds me Bartabas, a reference which inspire me.
::: Medium: Watercolor, chalk, pastels, wenzhou paper and gesso on canvas, without frame, finished with a varnish, ready to hang or ready to be framed at your choice
::: Size: 39,4 x 19.7 in / 100 x 50 cm
::: Year: 2017
