"Connemara Sky" is a photopolymer Intaglio plate print with hand-colouring in watercolours. The image was developed on watercolour paper and subsequently etched to the printing plate.
The image depicts the picturesque Connemara region of Co. Galway in the West of Ireland - part of the Wild Atlantic Way.
This region of Ireland regularly sees a buildup of cumulus clouds, which artists cannot resist, given their dominance of the landscape. The famous landscape artist Paul Henry fell in love with this region, and his depiction of the West of Ireland is so distinctive and widely admired.
