Original artwork description:

As a Welsh language learner I was having to find ways of remembering certain words. Some people just soak up language but I work very hard.
'Connections' is a process of giving me hooks to hang my words on.
David, the shepherd, of Psalm 23, is linked to the Patron Saint of Wales, Saint David. Almost all Christian titles for their leaders tend toward the concept of 'Shepherd'.
So, 'dafad' [sheep in Welsh] is connected 'David' in my mind.
I have put them in fields, enclosures with hedges round about to complete the picture.
'Dysgu' is learn. Connect is 'Cysytllu'
You can tell it was painted at Christmas time from the inclusion of a net from a box of satumas!!

Materials used:

acrylic and mixed objects
