Original artwork description:

This piece is a triptych, using pastel on black paper. It shows 6 dimly lit men witnessing a divine event. It is part of an unfinished series studying how people behave when confronted with something beyond their comprehension - as if it were minutes before the end of the world.

These men are nihilists, skeptical of what they are witnessing. When confronted with what seems to be the end, their lack of belief and rejection of meaning is tested leaving them still relatively unsure and defensive. They have found some comfort within their own group.
