"Conflicted Hearts" is an original high texture abstract oil painting measuring 12 x 12 x 1.5 inches, painted using professional grade oil paint and stretched over a hand crafted wood frame.

The painting is sealed with a final coat of matte varnish for protection.

All sides are staple free, painted, and finished making it ready to hang.
Signed on the side. Signed and dated on the back.


The Inspiration: Much of my work plays on the elements of texture and movement, pieces like “Conflicted Hearts” embraces both of these elements with the combination of palette knife work and fluid brushstroke movements. Working with palette knives not only creates a texture that I obsess over, but also takes away some control and precision I would usually have with paint brushes. Like many other pieces, I also enjoy the bold intensity of high contrast, using both true whites and dark ivory blacks.
