I admire flowers and wish other people can experience the joy of having a little part of them in their home and lives. This art piece has a unique combination of colors and shades along with the use of “black” to add a contemporary feeling to this bouquet and additional drama of light versus dark.
This art piece is strictly out of my imagination, however, the flowers have a realistic presence to them but are abstracted . The technique of combining the looseness of acrylic with the vertical black and white leaves is a throwback to digital art. I combine my background in digital arts with the vertical strength of leaves which are created using pen and ink. They contrast with traditional use of acrylics when painting flowers and backgrounds. The technique is used exclusively by me.
