Original artwork description:

Conceptually, my paintings explore the relationship between nature and civilization in a perpetual state of flux. Much of my inspiration comes from observing the raw aesthetic of urban decay – textures and marks on distressed surfaces that are a result of continuous activity and exposure to the elements, such as rust stained concrete walls, weathered signage and worn pavement.

Symbolic of continuation and change, these circles represent a world in constant motion. Time keeps ticking. Wheels keep turning.

Created by multi-step process of layering, sanding and over-painting. Painted on a hand crafted, high quality birch panel, includes a 1.75 inch wooden border and arrives ready to hang. Signed on back.

Materials used:

paint, molding paste
