Artwork description:

Richard photographed Bletchley Park in partnership with Hertfordshire University and Bletchley Park Trust, to document Alan Turing’s historic past at Bletchley. He was privileged to gain access not open to the public. This World War II German Enigma Machine photographed by Richard in detail, it abstracts the machinery, increasing the intrigue of it.

This artwork is a limited edition of 25, gloss photographic print from negative, accompanied by a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity.

Richard Heeps’ seductive, highly saturated colours and sophisticated pictorial structures demonstrate a true love and empathy for his subject matter – be it cool, descriptive interiors, still life, portrait or landscape. His distinctive style pushes the limits of lens-based photography without the need for digital manipulation. He runs his own darkrooms in Cambridge (UK) where he hand prints his colour photography. His work has been exhibited in Museums and Public Galleries around England and he has participated in Art Fairs around the world and his work is now part of many international collections.
