In my series "Composers" I did portraits of classical composers as two-tone print with two blocks. That allows me to realize different color versions. For the background I handsketched notes of one of the composer's pieces and digitally teansferred them to the background onto the Bütten paper before handprinting the blocks.
Here is Elena Kats-Chernin.
As every one of the 10 prints of the color-edition is unique, with the colors mixed individually each print is unique, but of course the parts of the edition are quite similar.
The print will be shipped ready-to-hang in a simple glassless frame.
Materials used:
nice Büttenpaper, linoleum, waterbased colors, pencil, digital printing device for the background
