This is a surreal painting by Dutch artist Lotte Teussink. Complications was created in 2014. The artist combined several smaller sketches into one piece, in which everything seems to be connected as a whole. It is inspired by a large painting of Salvador Dalí which the artist saw in a museum in Rotterdam. It is called Landscape with a girl skipping rope. Lotte was amazed by how the horizon worked as the central theme, around which all the different elements were details of the narrative. There was an incredible mystery at play in this artwork.
