Original artwork description:

The woman and the pet dog are standing in front of a white wall, that is shadowed and has become stained, the horizontal marks of the wall's texture is at odds with the slanted movement in the clouds of the sky. This tension of different angles also opens up a space, after a while it becomes obvious that the wall is broken and belongs to a derelict house. A red house with dark windows peers over the broken house, it's windows with shutters are like eyes. Together with the crane loading a barge on the canal there are signs that decay and destruction are being cleared up. All of these background features could be read as psychological or emotional states of the main character who is on her own except for her companion the dog.
