Original artwork description:

A small relief panel depicting the Common Mallow, carved on Lime. Developed from sketches and photographs, a master drawing is used to create multiple versions of this piece, each one being, more or less, different in execution. For instance I might use a different wood, such as sycamore, beech or oak, and might apply oil instead of colour for a natural wood finish. Customers may indicate their choice of wood or finish.

Materials used:

lime wood, painted with watercolour, finished with acrylic varnish and wax polish
