Original artwork description:

One of the most beautifil butterflies of Ukraine - Gonepteryx rhamni or "Цитринець" in Ukrainian, because "цитрина" it's a lemon, so butterfly's name means "lemony".

Actually, this butterfly looks a little different - lighter and more yellow. But I like to depict objects as if looking them through a "stormy day" filter, when shades are smoother and colours look deeper.

I start my new Ukrainian butterflies series with this one.
