Original artwork description:

We've all felt like things were coming apart in our lives: in our job, a relationship, our health, a sudden, unexpected circumstance, our society or nation. Sometimes, it feels like your own mind, your perceptions of yourself and reality are betraying you. Many people struggle with anxiety, which can seem overwhelming and nearly paralyzing at times. It takes courage to recognize that you're struggling and even more courage to make yourself vulnerable to someone: a family member, a close friend, a teacher, a mental health expert. I feel so very blessed that a family member has trusted me enough to share their struggles and allow me to listen with a loving heart, to offer my support and let them know they're not alone. How important it is to find the strength to reach out, to get the help we all need from time to time! I regret the years that my loved one suffered in silence, and I celebrate the fact that we now have hope for a positive change, for growth and understanding. These two 9" x 12" mixed media abstract paintings are dedicated to our very courageous loved ones, and the journey of hope we share with them. Each painting, done in acrylic, oils and cold wax on canvas, has been given a satin varnish, for protection; and hanging hardware is already installed. The painting is wrapped on all edges, so it can be hung without a frame, if the client wishes. Each painting can be hung singly or as a diptych.

Materials used:

acrylic, oil & cold wax
