I was thinking of Alexander Grine’s tale "The Scarlet Veils.

In this work, I embraced primitivism and semi-abstract to capture the intensity of raw emotion. With oil as medium, I juxtaposed bold shapes and bright colors to create a poignant symbolism. This canvas expresses ardent desire and melancholy, evoking a heavy expectation but also the hope of return.
