Come Across the Fields is an acrylic painting inspired by my old farmhouse on the east coast of Scotland.
With a garden full of fruit trees and a wee stream running past the bottom of my garden.
Painted in layers of acrylic paint and acrylic glaze allowing rubbing back to reveal previous layers of colour. Collage is added in the form of a Rupert Brooke poem emphasising that every house has it's own story to tell.
The title of the painting comes from a line within the poetry roof.
Painted on canvas board, measuring 30 x 30cm.
Acrylic paint, acrylic medium glaze, gesso, collage, charcoal
