Artwork description:

Colourful teal and blue abstract seascape fine art photography print by Isle of Skye Photographer Lynne Douglas.

Light, water, sky and sand. Blue, green, mauve and silver. The colours of the Isle of Harris as the tide rolls out. Here is a place to stop and breath deeply as the crystal clear air and sound of the sea cleanse and refresh the soul. This is a single image made in the camera using subtle movements as I take the picture. As I make these abstract landscapes I have an idea of how the image should look but each time the results are exciting and new.

Giclée fine art paper print with approx 2 inches white border.
This is the 16 inch print with a 12 inch image.
Also available in sizes up to 44 inches.

About My Work
I believe in giving my clients beautiful artwork on luxury papers that hold their colours for a lifetime! For these special prints of my work I use dreamy, Canson Paper, a lightly textured paper with bright whites and intense colour rendition. Printed here in my studio on the Isle of Skye, to ensure you get a truly handmade image.

About My Materials
People often say that my images look like paintings because of the richness of the colours, the depth of the black and the texture of the materials I use. Canson are one of the oldest paper manufacturers in the world, they have been making paper for over 450 years in France. Founded in 1557 and printers to Louis XVI, their paper was used by Voltaire and Napoleon and the Montgolfier brothers used Canson paper to make the first hot air balloon. Canson paper was used by Picasso, Ingres, Chagal, Miro and many other artists. They have been making paper and canvas for photography since this art began over 150 years ago. Canson are Eco Friendly - they purchase paper pulp only from forests managed in a sustainable way which also makes them pretty special.
