Original artwork description:

Roy Lichtenstein, one of my biggest art inspirations, didn't just paint the comic strips he was famous for. He also painted many everyday objects throughout his career, from food to art materials themselves.

With this in mind I've created this charming and colourful A4 original painting. It shows three coloured pencils drawing away in bright yellow, pink, and green. Only the tips of the pencils and the lines they're drawing are all mixed up to create a surreal effect. Like most artists I'm a bit obsessed with stationery and own way more than I'll ever use.

The approach is my usual bold graphic 'pop' art style, with black outlines separating the objects. It is painted in acrylics and Posca paint pens on thick high quality A4 paper.

PLEASE NOTE: the painting doesn't come framed, but I've taken photos of it in a white A4 frame for display purposes. So the third picture best represents what you'll be buying.

I've been inspired to create work like this by classic pop artists like Andy Warhol and Patrick Caulfield but also by modern graphic designers.
