The idea is inspired from a fascinating documentary I saw on a religious festival in India. It’s an old and unusual documentary film on the Kumbh Mela (gathering of Hindu mystics), kings with straw mats. Well worth looking at...
But this project is about colours and brush strokes and moving it around with water. The holy man here acts more as a focus around which I moved the paint, though his pose is good too.
The close up pictures give a better sense of the paint, paper and the brush stroke. Then there’s the work in progress. There’s also a view of my studio, and you’ll see that when I work I’m all over a few projects at a time.
