My sister is a bird lover, and as a result we had an assortment of chickens, ducks and a goose when I was growing up. One year a hen hatched out six chicks, which all turned out to be cockerels. We re-homed them when they were old enough and one went to a friend of mine who had a farm. It was the most evil tempered bird imaginable. Even now I associate cockerels with being chased across the farmyard by a feathery devil, but I still think they are beautiful creatures.
This little watercolour is on 300gsm paper and is supplied unframed. It is shown in a small Ikea Ribba 23 x 23cm frame in the photos, but this is not included.
