Abstracted impressionistic painting.

This is one in a series of paintings, large and small which are created wholly or partially on my wonderful road trip to Pembrokeshire, Wales.

Warm colours, reds, pink, russet, sage green and browns mingle in the flowers, alongside yellow and oranges.

I love blending and contrasting colour, and playing with colour relationships, as well as interpreting landscape. Semi abstract impressionistic paintings allow me to build up colour, tone and texture. I drop, flick, use palette knives, and rags as well as brushes to create a rich textured surface on the canvas.

This 75x75cm painting is unframed, it has white painted edges and is strung with picture cord ready to hang.
