This image is comprised if bits of torn or cut Decorative papers, and Acrylic Paints. As is typical for me, I begin with a sort of "impression" of an image or palette, but build it quite like a puzzle. My paintings "emerge", as opposed to being drawn out in advance, or planned. Regarding this one, I am delighted with ge outcome! My favorite bit of this Naive Still Life is the way the Actual Bird on the table, looks the same as the Decorative Bird on the Vase. The canvas is painted around he edges so it can be hung unframed...
