Original artwork description:

This piece is inspired by one of my favorites by Matisse, done from his Studio window n the early 1900’s when he lived in Collioure. During my time living in Collioure,I often painted scenes as viewed out a window, and could hardly paint them fast enough to keep up with the rate at which they sold! This time, I have returned to adding some collage to my painting, using decorative and hand painted papers for fun and a bit of whimsy. This canvas is painted around the edges, so that it can be hung unframed.
