The Collision series works with the idea of expressing the collision between two volumes, and the transformation of matter that this collision causes.
The series is developed in welded and painted steel.
Volumes, when meeting in a violent way, break displacing their masses and acquiring a dynamic equilibrium.
The collision that could be seen as a traumatic and destructive act, on this occasion, is presented as an element of creation and reordering of form and space.
From the violent encounter between the two volumes, the forms expand freely, but still maintaining the inertia of the initial volumes. This inertia encourages that, within the destruction, the basic shape of the piece is recognizable, but always with a new aspect, more dynamic and in conjunction with the bodies that participate in the collision.
This collection of sculptures is presented in series of 10 unique units, numbered and signed by the author.
