As you approach the brow of the hill on the lane where I live, the curve of the lane leads you towards the morning light. I often pass this scene when out with my dogs and I know I am nearly home. The arching trees lead the eye through the landscape.

This etching was selected for the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists Print Prize Exhibition and was awarded second prize.
