Original artwork description:

I have never used pocket watches but I have always been fascinated by them.
My grandfather used it and I still imagine him standing in his brown suit with a waistcoat, a cigar in his mouth and a crooked smile while consulting the time on his pocket watch.
It's been a long time but certain images remain indelible in my mind and in my heart.
My grandfather's pocket watch was different from the one I painted in this work, this one I chose because it was made of gold so as to underline how precious time is and not at all wasted.
This work is part of the series COGLI L’ATTIMO, a series that seeks to express the concept of appreciating what you have, of enjoying every moment that life offers us, before it is too late.
The watch is about to fall to the ground or if you want it can take flight depends on the imagination you use when looking at it!

I made the work with the oil color technique on canvas, I use oil color by superimposing many very thin layers of suitably diluted color to create the effects I want.


The work is signed on the front and back and will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity

for non-EU shipments, it is necessary to wait for authorization from the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and this could lead to a delay of a few days
