Cocoon - Stage 1, wrapping, tying oneself.
This is the first painting of a series of 3, which explore transformation, growth and development from a female perspective. I used ribbons, a traditionally feminine accessory, to create a sexy yet restrictive corset, as a symbol of a garment women are no longer required but still chose to wear, to attract as well as hide behind.
